Questions

Common questions

Can't find your answer? Contact us.

Where is my cycle and health data stored?+

In Google Cloud Firestore, linked to your Ovulation & Period Tracker account, so it syncs across your devices and survives a lost phone. It is encrypted in transit and at rest, and security rules only let your signed-in account read or write it.

Can anyone on the app team see my data?+

Other users never can. Technically, the people who administer the app's Firebase project have access to the database, as with any cloud service. We do not browse user data; it is only accessed if you ask us to help with your account, or if we are legally compelled.

Do you sell my data or share it with advertisers?+

No. Ovulation & Period Tracker shows no ads, has no advertising SDKs and never sells, rents or trades personal or health data — not to advertisers, data brokers, employers or insurers.

How do I download or delete my data?+

Open Privacy → Export data to save a copy of everything you've logged. To erase it all, go to Settings → Delete account: your data is deleted first, then your account.

Can I use Ovulation & Period Tracker as birth control?+

No. Fertile-window and ovulation estimates are predictions based on the dates you log. They are not reliable enough to prevent pregnancy and Ovulation & Period Tracker is not a contraceptive or medical device.

Why does Ovulation & Period Tracker ask for notification permission?+

Only to deliver the reminders you turn on — period, pill, water, appointments and so on. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent from our servers.

What is Luna?+

Luna is a planned in-app assistant. It is marked “Coming soon” and currently sends nothing anywhere. If it launches, this policy will be updated first to explain exactly what it processes.
